In providing reliable, superior, and honest investigations, VRC has taken the lead in the industry by exceeding the expectations of our customers and investigative partners.We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, highly organized, self-motivated ACCOUNTANT that would like to join our team of professionals in our efforts to deter and combat insurance fraud. This position is full time exempt, based in our corporate office in Denton, TX and will report to the Sr. VP of Finance.This position will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be participating in the Company's financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. They will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making.Core Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee and manage general accounting functions including invoicing & billing, accounts receivables, cash receipts, financial assets, general ledger and taxesMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce timely, accurate & complete financial statementsCoordinate and complete annual auditsAnalyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expendituresMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceAd-Hoc Reporting and AnalysisFull Cycle AccountingMonthly Payroll AnalysisFixed Asset AccountingPrepaid Expense SchedulesJournal Entry PrepBalance Sheet ReconciliationsReconciled company credit cards and employee expensesBudget and Forecast variance analyses401k AuditsAssess current practices, procedures and controls, and make recommendations for improvementsInterfaced with banks, state tax departments and clientsImprove performance by evaluating processes to drive efficienciesAnalyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesSupporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysisPrepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management TeamOther departmental duties as neededApplicants must meet the following requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred5+ year's Progressive Accounting experienceExperience supervising or team lead high preferredExperience with Sage IntacctHigh attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsHighest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organizedArticulate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivatedDemonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacityBenefits:VRC provides medical, dental, vision, disability benefits, as well as paid vacation, and a 401K/Profit Sharing retirement plan.Compensation:Accepted candidates will be paid a base salary commensurate ($90,000 - $110,000) with relevant experience and qualifications and incentives dependent on position.
