The goal is to provide a positive environment to assist those individuals in exploring and learning about recreation and fitness activities, in order to enhance a better quality of life and to become active members of the community. We employ approximately 250 students each year through various programs including intramural sports, informal recreation, group exercise, sport clubs, fitness, faculty/staff fitness, special events, outdoor pursuits and aquatics. We hope that you will find the Rec Center to be a positive and exciting place to work.Position OverviewThe position plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive fitness community among students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include designing and leading engaging fitness classes in various formats, motivating participants to achieve their fitness goals, and ensuring a safe and supportive exercise environment.
