ExcellenceThe Role:Entegris is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Special Processing Manufacturing team in Decatur, TX. This person will be responsible for multiple manufacturing processes in support of our Specialty Chemicals product line.In this role you will:

  • Implement SPC and use statistical tools to monitor and improve process control
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment failures and work with maintenance team to reduce unscheduled downtimes
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures for manufacturing equipment to proactively reduce equipment failures
  • Lead manufacturing readiness for new product developments
  • Design fixtures to improve process stability and reduce product variation
  • Maintain product quality and closely monitor product performance
  • Use 8D data driven approach to identify root cause for failures and corrective/preventative actions
  • Create and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, response flows, and provide training to direct labor forceTraits we believe make a strong candidate:
    • 3-5 years of experience in operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of industrial chemical processes, or a relevant combination of education and industry experience
    • Experience working with large process equipment in support of batch processes and high-volume manufacturing
    • Experience with ceramic materials manufacturing
      • Experience with DFM, SPC, and Six Sigma
        • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
        • Strong experience with process equipment operation and troubleshooting; specific experience with CVD tools, vacuum furnaces, batch processes, etc., is highly preferred
        • Our Decatur, TX, facility is an ITAR restricted facility, so the hired candidate must have an unrestricted right to work in the United States
        • Strong knowledge of software for data analysis and presentation; Minitab preferred
        • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
        • Capability to lead cross-functional teams to solve customer and process issues
        • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
        • Ability to present technical data to all levels of internal and customer (external) organizations
        • Ability to produce results when facing deadlines and competing commitments
