This dynamic team develops and supports communication networks and collaborates across Cisco to leverage innovative solutions.You will work with a vibrant technical community and interact with some of the most respected networking experts as you provide critical engineering support for large-scale customer deployments. As a team engineer, you will support major Web scaler and Service Provider networks, collaborate with Product management, Sales, and Marketing teams on proactive customer engagements, and contribute to product development by working with engineering architects and subject matter experts to enhance product quality, debuggability, and customer requirements.Your ImpactYou will not only guide your team technically but also drive them towards excellence. • Engage actively, take ownership, and resolve critical customer escalations within Cisco's Routing portfolio.
• Provide expert support and serve as a key contact for technical and operational issues requiring engineering expertise.
• Use analytical skills and technical knowledge to resolve complex product and network problems.
• Support Cisco's customer-facing teams and customers, providing updates on deployment projects.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and utilize lab setups to recreate and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Identify systematic problems and collaborate on long-term solutions to improve customer experience and product stability.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in STEM with 10+ years' experience in network engineering.
  • Experience with protocols like BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN, BFD, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS TE/FRR, L2/L3VPN, RSVP, Multicast.
  • Experience with real-time networking operating systems such as IOS-XR.
  • Proficiency with Linux and open-source technologies.
  • Experience with large-scale routing and switching architectures.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in live customer environments.Preferred Qualifications:
    • CCIE Routing or CCIE Service Provider certification.
    • Familiarity with Cisco's internal organization and ecosystem.
    • Master's Degree in STEM.
    • Experience with IOS XR based platforms like Cisco 8000, NCS5500/5700, ASR9K, NCS540/560.
