Cox Automotive is seeking an Automotive Technician II to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high-quality service and operations standards that Cox Automotive is recognized for. As an Automotive Technician II, you will work closely with a team dedicated to the repair and maintenance of automotive systems and enhancements. This position offers a $4,000 new hire stay on bonus as an incentive for committed and skilled technicians who join our team due to our reputation as an industry leader in automotive solutions. Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made Proven knowledge of automobile repair and maintenance Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented Good communication skills, both verbal and written Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic diagnostic equipment Medical Insurance 401k ASE Certification (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) strongly preferred Valid driver’s license
