If this sounds like the right construction senior project manager opportunity for you, apply today!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGERAs a Senior Project Manager, you direct the project management teams responsible for executing a portfolio of construction projects. You ensure they drive key aspects of the project to produce desired results by managing the financials, tracking expenses, ensuring adherence to the budget and schedule, and interfacing with clients, trade partners, and other stakeholders. At the beginning of the project, you support the team as they review bids for each trade and negotiate subcontracts with our trade partners. You ensure they work collaboratively with superintendents to coordinate and oversee trade partner activities. You set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and report on the progress of each project.Your positive, collaborative disposition comes through in all your interactions and is how you are able to foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners. Your excellent communication skills and attention to detail ensure that their needs are met. Your strong leadership and team building skills ensure that project teams consistently exceed expectations. You prepare reports and status updates for both your clients and upper management over the course of the project. If there are any issues or changes, you are sure to keep everyone informed. You take great pride in your work and enjoy coming to work every day.Supervisory Responsibility:This position has supervisory responsibilities over Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators on the assigned projects.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to office environments and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, 40 hours or more per week.Travel:This position requires moderate local travel and some potential overnight stays. Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or similar field10+ years of prior work experience in the General Contractor Construction industry3+ years of prior work experience in role of Senior Project ManagerMust be familiar with all facets of building constructionProficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.Excellent written and oral communicationPreferred Education and Experience:Proficiency in Procore project management softwareProficiency with industry standard scheduling softwareProficiency with ViewPoint project management and accounting softwareProficiency with Bluebeam Revu or other take-off software.Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Satisfactory results from a drug screen, background, and MVR check.Must have valid driver's license and have current insurance.Ability to travel with some overnight stays.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, and going up and down stairs all day.Regularly required to talk and hear.Able to read, write, and speak English.
