Assistant Store Manager -Thrift Giant Denton1701 Brinker Rd, Denton, TX 76208The Assistant Store Manager is an integral part to Thrift Giant's management team. Hands on day-to-day management responsibilities and training opportunities prepares our Assistant Managers for a Store Manager career.Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Store Manager to assure all sales and revenue goals including tactical implementation are reached
• Assist with responsibilities for all day-to-day store operations in all departments
• Own store issues proactively; identify challenges and create improvement plans
• Assist with interview and hiring process of new employees
• Train and develop production staff to increase product knowledge and pricing accuracy
• Train and develop sales floor staff to ensure customer satisfaction
• Train and develop backend staff to optimize all receivables
• Effectively execute point-of-sales transactions, cash-handling, nightly reconciliation, and ability to trouble shoot basic
  POS issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and internal visual merchandising to ensure a shoppable store appearance
  • Maintain proper inventory controls
  • Responsible for creating a pleasant/hospitable work environment
  • Assist with daily/weekly/monthly staff meetings, employee reviews and schedules
  • Responsible for protection of property and minimizing safety hazards
    Qualifications:
    • English and Spanish speaking preferred
    • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar position
    • Ability to work independently without supervision
    • Ability to delegate job duties and responsibility to employees
    • Ability to train employees, motivate and lead a team
    • Excellent leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills
    • Excellent customer care
    • Ability to work well under pressure or challenging situations
    • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required.
