DescriptionThe Training Manager will collaborate with the Denton
site team members on all training areas, as it relates to the
plant's training needs. This individual is responsible for the
planning and execution of training events that educate and promote
safety and education to our team members. The Training Manager will
design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and
procedures to fulfill those training needs of the employees in
Denton.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Reviews existing training programs suggest enhancements and
modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or
to meet the changing needs of the organization.
* Analyze training needs to develop new training programs. Modify
and improve existing programs while applying principles of learning
models and theories.
* Ensures that training materials and programs are current,
accurate, and effective.
* Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training,
and training requirements applicable to the organization.
* Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training
sessions.
* Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to
arrange employee registration for and participation in outside
training programs.
* Maintain training records and learning metrics within Operations,
providing insight and recommendations to drive business and talent
needs.
* Works closely with the Corporate training group on new cross
training and skilling up plans
* Lead and/or participate in initiatives that include, but are not
limited to, Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, or other lean
activities.
* Work alongside People & Culture (HR) on position development
programs, talent management, performance management, and succession
planning initiatives.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.Required
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Extremely organized and detail oriented.
* Thorough understanding of training methods, theories, processes,
and applications.
* Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and problem-solving
sessions.
* Ability to conduct task/job analysis to build training documents
and establish standards.
* Experience Utilizing Learning Management Systems as well as
E-Learning content creation is preferred.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* ISO Auditing experience preferred.Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree required. With a concentration in
Organizational Development, Adult Learning, I/O Psychology,
Education, or similar related degree
* 2 - 3 years in a training environment as a training manager,
training specialist or equivalent
* Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
