Work environment: Financial Counseling Services Department - Patient Access Services. Work hours: + Full Time, 40 hours per week. + Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:30pm. Salary range: $18.00/hour - Maximum: $27.61/hour, based on relevant experience. **Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton** is a 255-bed, full-service hospital that has served North Texas and southern Oklahoma since 1987. Hospital services include heart and vascular care, women's services, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, orthopedics and sports medicine, pain management, emergency medicine, and a weight loss surgery program. As one of the largest employers in Denton County, Texas Health Denton has more than 1,000 employees and more than 325 physicians on its medical staff practicing in more than 45 specialties. Located 45 miles northwest of downtown Dallas and 40 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth, Texas Health Denton is an accredited Cycle IV Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, a Joint Commission accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + 2 years of Patient Access Services experience required. + Other hospital and physician office experience is helpful. + CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred. **Skills & Abilities** + Ability to type 35 WPM, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of computers. + Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as advanced interpersonal communication and customer service skills. + Ability to handle heavy telephone activity and make decisions to adapt to rapid changes in processes. + Knowledge of Medical terminology preferred. **Position Responsibilities** Texas Health Presbyterian Denton Team Lead - Admissions is responsible for providing an excellent patient healthcare experience at each Texas Health site, this individual will oversee PAS areas, regulatory requirements, accomplish patient education, and all duties set forth in Patient Access Services. Proficient in all PAS areas, cross trained in multiple workflows, Promise Pal onboarding of new hires and extensive customer service. **Essential Functions** + Data Integrity: Responsible for providing guidance to line staff in the work area that is responsible for obtaining accurate financial and complete demographic information during Pre-Admission and/or Registration pertaining to the patient account. Scoring is based on Auditlogix Scorecard and supervisor manual review of patient accounts. The registration process may require use of Computers on Wheels. + Forms: Responsible for providing guidance to line staff in the work area that is responsible for presenting and thoroughly explains legal, ethical, and compliance related forms. + Financials: Maintains knowledge of local, state government, federal and THR Charity programs. Maintains the ability to calculate out of pocket expenses by using the Estimator and/or THR Payment Estimate template. Provides all payment options: cash, checks, major credit cards/debit cards and THR Financing. Process(s) payments using the automated system (POS). This may require preparation and distribution of documents. + Duplicate Medical Records: Appropriately identifies patients in the Master Patient Index and assigns patient identification as per protocol. + Automated Systems: Reviews on-line Advance Edits, Auditlogix, Nebo responses and perform necessary action to correct the patient account.
