Job Description:
EMT Durant Resort Security Description Job Purpose or
Objective(s): Respond to emergency calls to provide immediate,
high-quality medical attention to the critically ill or injured,
conduct medical assessments, and provide on-property treatment as a
service to our guests and employees. Arrange transport to the
hospital if needed while providing quality care until transporting
unit arrives. Start Rate: $17.55 Primary Tasks: Conduct a primary
medical and trauma assessment with re-evaluations, triaging
multiple patients as needed, call for outside agency transport as
needed, as well as treat all emergencies within protocols,
operating guidelines, and scope of practice for Choctaw Casino
EMTs. Bandage wounds, splint fractures, and control hemorrhages.
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Use an automated
external defibrillator (AED). Assist patients with taking
prescribed medications and perform any lifesaving interventions.
Use of diagnostic equipment such as a manual aneroid
sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, pulse oximeter, BVM, glucometer,
thermometer, and other diagnostic equipment. Administration of
emergency drugs such as Naloxone, Epinephrine auto-injectors (adult
and pediatric), aspirin, Albuterol Sulfate, Ipratropium Bromide,
Oxygen, and any medications within protocols approved by medical
direction. Prepare well-documented medical reports. Maintain and
disinfect all equipment after use, including the medical suite.
Perform other duties as may be assigned. Required Education,
Skills, and Experience: MINIMUM High school diploma or GED
Certification by the State of Oklahoma as an EMT/EMT-B or higher
National Registry Certification Current CPR certification At least
18 years of age The professional appearance of the approved uniform
and maintaining hygienic and grooming standards Ability to perform
assigned duties, including the ability to repeatedly lift and move
heavy patients, carry medical bags, and stand for long periods of
time. Knowledgeable in knowing normal and abnormal vital sign
ranges, measurements, and auscultations for both adult and
pediatric patients. EMTs must be able to deal with high-stress
situations and make sound decisions. TARGET High school diploma or
