Job Description:

As a Family Therapist you will provide outpatient psychotherapy including individual, play and family therapy to children, adolescents 0-18 years old and their families. Requires knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development. Experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests is preferred. Must understand the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents and demonstrates this in practice; Engages caregivers actively in the treatment, regardless of preferred milieu. Works to establish rapport with the caregiver and client and can provide eclectic, salient, and robust resources to families.

Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8am - 5pm

Required Education, Experience, Licensure & Certifications:

• Graduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy or related field.
• Experience working with children, adolescents and families.
• LCSW, LPC or LMFT with the state of Texas
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.
  Preferred Skills/Experience:
  
  • Previous experience working in a medical setting.
  • Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care.
