Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and
Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing
in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and
seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can
provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric
and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to
seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. It is our goal
to provide compassionate care to those individuals living with
mental illness so they can live their life to the fullest.

Position Summary
The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery
of patient care in accordance with the established standards of
care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and
objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's
philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement
efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN's and
MHTs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts.
This position is responsible for assisting the DON/ADON in
evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training
events with respect to all RN//MHT staff required training. Also
provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments.
Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional
nursing required or equivalent combination of education and
experience in nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience progressive
nursing leadership experience. Experience in staff education and
education concepts, practices and procedures and 24 hour shift
staffing experience.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by
the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA
requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR
certification and training in appropriate use of CPI Non-violent
Crisis Intervention before on the unit orientation and prior to
assisting in a restraining process.
