Position Highlights
* Work location: Texas Health Denton, 207 N. Bonnie Brae Street,
Denton, TX 76201
* Work hours: Full Time Night Shift (7p-7am)
Work environment:
* Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one
of 25 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for
the most severe trauma cases.
* Fast Paced Environment
* 41 beds (Expanded from 25 March 2023)
* 4 New Trauma rooms
* 3 Isolation Rooms
* Emerging Disease Suite that is capable of decontamination and
caring for all infectious diseases. Suite can transition into an
inpatient bed to eliminate patient movement and reduce
exposure.
* Working on trauma designation
* Accredited by Joint Commission for stroke and chest pain
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* Assesses the patient
* Plans the care of the patient
* Intervenes as appropriate
* Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into
patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need
for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital,
and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a 255-bed,
full-service hospital that has served North Texas and southern
Oklahoma since 1987. Hospital services include heart and vascular
care, women's services, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit,
orthopedics and sports medicine, pain management, emergency
medicine, and a weight loss surgery program. As one of the largest

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent
patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually
90 Days Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months Req And
ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 12 Months Req Or
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Req
Skills
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills,
