Day Shift 1 Charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNS, PCTs, and unit
secretary when grid allows o Night Shift 1 Charge nurse per floor,
RNs, LVNS, PCTs Patient Ratios 5:1 (Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor).
6:1 (Med Surg 5th Floor) Type of equipment remote telemetry,
capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps EMR Alterra
(Allscripts) Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered
for the role. Telemetry experience Med Surg Experience Preferred or
nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered
first. Cardiac recognition, IV starts Time management List typical
procedures performed on unit(s): All abdominal: chole, appy,
colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis,
heart caths, run offs Gastric sleeves, total hip, knee and shoulder
replacements. Ortho trauma repairs (fractures) Best personality
Fit: Team oriented, positive and flexible. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
ACLS, BLS, NIHS Floating Area(s): Mandatory Float as needed:
Inpatient rehab, ED, PCU. Will not be given an assignment outside
of skill level or scope. Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Currently
wear black scrubs but will be moving to Medical City Blue Unit
Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and
guidelines. Weekends and On call(if any) Weekend shifts are
required. No on call. Will push back per the attendance policy. No.
