of America) Job Description : Job Purpose - The Sexual Assault
Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental,
compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may
include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy sexually
transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals
for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and
participation in legal proceedings. Job Requirements: Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred Licenses
and/or Certifications: - Valid and Current Texas RN license. -
Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the
Texas Attorney General office or - Currently in-progress of
certification and obtained within 6 months of hire - Current TNCC
Work Experience: - Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care
