Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Denton, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM /n• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1, flexing up to 5:1 during staffing shortages /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH certification /n• Preferred experience includes preceptor experience and charge nurse experience /n• Manage stroke patients, cardiac drips, patients on continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure patients /n• Work with equipment including BiPAP, restraints, Airvo, seizure precautions, bedside monitoring, and telemetry /n• Electronic medical record system: Meditech /n• Perform typical procedures including emergent thoracentesis and telemetry monitoring /n• Work in 25-bed unit with interdisciplinary team collaboration /n• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 staff RN, and 3 PCTs /n• Must demonstrate compassion, integrity, and willingness to help others /n• Strong communication skills with interdisciplinary team required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed Progressive Care Unit located on the second floor of the main hospital building. The facility specializes in caring for stroke patients, managing cardiac drips, and providing post-procedure care with advanced monitoring capabilities.
