Job Summary and Qualifications Performs quality ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist of all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines. What you will do in this role: - You will compassionately assist and position patients. - You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary. - You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary. - You will release the patient with proper post-procedure instructions. - You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment. - You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. What qualifications you will need: - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) - High School Graduate / GED - Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible with ARDMS ( Must comply with ACR) - If Registry eligible, must become registered with-in 2 years of graduation from accredited ultrasound program Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100 bed full service, acute-care facility.
