Job Description Job Description Broad Statement of
Responsibilities: The Primary Therapist at All Points North is
responsible for delivering the highest standards of Trauma and
Addiction treatment services within an inpatient residential
treatment facility. This role involves providing individual and
group counseling to patients and their families. As an integral
member of the interdisciplinary team, the Primary Therapist
develops individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient,
focusing on targeted goals and executing therapeutic strategies.
Carrying a dedicated caseload, the therapist works diligently to
guide patients on their journey toward recovery and meaningful
change. Primary Therapists play a crucial role in the care delivery
system by building therapeutic rapport with patients to assess,
address, and treat Trauma, Addiction, and Mental Health Disorders.
Additionally, they support patients in addressing family dynamics,
self-esteem, life skills, and other personal challenges.

requires LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC-in TX, a Graduate
Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited
college or university. Experience: This position requires 3 plus
years’ experience in the residential treatment of individuals with
Addiction and Mental Health Issues. Trauma therapy experience
preferred but not required. Special Skills & Knowledge: Must
possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and plan
activities, systematize procedures, promote favorable public
relations, and make decisions affecting service delivery to
consumers. Must be flexible to adjust to changing conditions and
the various details of the job. Basic computer skills are required
with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a
bonus. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described

Copy machine, multi-line telephone, personal computer, and fax

drug screen and criminal records tests; appropriate references; and

effectively to new situations. Position Duties and Responsibilities
– Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide
counseling services to individuals and families through a
trauma-focused lens. Facilitate psycho-educational, experiential,
and process groups. Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress
notes, incident reports, and clinical documentation within the
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Provide assessment,
aftercare planning, and treatment for Detox, PHP, IOP, and OP
programs. Assist with case management for assigned clients. Conduct
an average of 4–6 therapeutic hours daily. Collaborate with
referral sources for ongoing client support and care coordination.
Complete documentation within required timelines and according to
ethical standards of practice. Attend meetings and supervision
sessions requiring clinical input. Monitor and follow up with
aftercare services as indicated for clients. Report regularly to
the on-site Clinical Director. Complete all required initial and
annual training sessions. Attend regular case staffings, reviews
with clinical teams, in-service trainings, seminars, and classes as
assigned. Conduct psychosocial evaluations, create individualized
treatment plans, complete ongoing treatment plan reviews, and
develop discharge summaries. Collaborate with the clinical team,
case management team, referents, and families to develop and
implement aftercare plans. Provide therapeutic interventions to
individuals, groups, and families as needed. Provide consistent
clinical updates to clients’ families and referents. Evaluate
individual and family systems, assess client functioning in work,
family, and daily routines, and identify areas needing change,
resources, and therapeutic intervention. Tailor treatment
strategies to the patient’s stage of dependence, readiness for
change, and recovery needs. Demonstrate an understanding of the
principles of addiction, developmental trauma, and their roles in
dysfunctional behaviors. Understand the psychological, behavioral,
physical health, and social effects of psychoactive substances on
patients. Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based models and
theories for treating trauma, addiction, and mental health
disorders. Develop, implement, and maintain partnerships with other
community providers. Perform clinical assessments, case management,
consultations, referrals, and educational services according to the
All-Points North Treatment Model. Recognize and incorporate the
importance of family, social networks, and community systems into
the treatment and recovery process. Understand and apply
established diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders and
describe appropriate treatment modalities and placement criteria.
Appreciate the importance of research and outcome data to inform
clinical practice. Understand and value an interdisciplinary
approach to treatment. Maintain the highest standards of ethical
conduct and professional integrity. Perform additional duties as
assigned.
