Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Travel assignment for Medical/Surgical unit (2NE Med/Surg) • Weekend shifts required • Patient ratios of 1:6 • Must have Meditech experience • Must have telemetry unit experience • Required certifications: BLS/ACLS • CPI certification preferred • NIHSS assessment experience preferred • Ultrasound IV placement skills preferred • Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, BSC, SarahSteady, walkers, wheelchairs, WOW/COW • Use Meditech EMR system • Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed • Dress code requires royal blue scrubs • Must be collaborative, team player, self-motivated, and respectful • Work on 18-bed unit with 25 staff members including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services to the North Texas region.
