Job Description JOB TITLE: HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR DEPARTMENT:HOUSEKEEPING/ROOMS DIRECTREPORT: EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER FUNCTION: Responsiblefor assisting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining the cleanliness andappearance of the guest accommodations and public areas and ensure that allTeam Members performing housekeeping functions carry out their assignments inaccordance with established standards. Additionally,this position will be responsible for all housekeeping problems, supplies, linen,equipment, housekeeping work orders for Engineering and any other duties asassigned or required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsiblefor ensuring complete guest satisfaction. • Responsiblefor investigating guest complaints. • Responsiblefor assisting the Executive Housekeeper in the assignment and supervision ofall housekeeping Team Members • Responsiblefor ensuring proper established standards and procedures for housekeeping staffas to brand and company standards. • Responsiblefor inspecting and evaluating physical condition of guestroom and public areaproduct. • Responsiblefor inventories of guest supplies and amenities including equipment on amonthly basis. • Responsiblefor training all housekeeping and laundry staff according to expectations andstandards. • Responsiblefor the Supervision and operation of linen, supply and storage rooms. • Responsiblefor enforcing inventory controls for uniforms, linens and supplies to bemonitored by issuance procedures and purchasing. • Responsiblefor documenting needs of the department to furnish management with budgetrequests. • Responsiblefor managing, monitoring and making adjustments in order to comply with energy conservationprogram management. • Responsiblefor key control. • Responsiblefor ensuring that Team Members are satisfied in current position and that weare focused on their development. • Responsiblefor assisting in monitoring and controlling the operating budget. • Responsiblefor ensuring proper maintenance in regards to building, furniture, fixture, andequipment. • Responsiblefor evaluating condition of furniture, fixtures, décor and make recommendationsand assist in the coordination of rehab projects. • Responsiblefor ensuring that Quality Standards and Service are maintained as to Property,Product and People. • Responsiblefor assisting the updating of all safety procedures. • Responsiblefor ensuring that all cleaning agents are properly mixed and used according to instructionsand safety guidelines. • Responsiblefor participating on the hotel Safety Committee. • Responsiblefor compliance with fire and safety issues. • Responsiblefor assisting in planning and conducting housekeeping staff meetings and attendvarious other related meetings throughout hotel. • Responsiblefor providing assistance and instruction to employees and makes routine hiringdecisions. • Responsiblefor communicating daily with other management, and department heads andemployees to ensure proper operating procedures are in compliance. • Responsiblefor working all shifts. • Responsiblefor assisting Executive Housekeeper in the maintenance and control of "lost andfound". • Responsiblefor assisting in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts forthe hotel. • Responsiblefor ensuring Security for the hotel's customers, employees, and propertyassets. Cultureand ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced throughout the HousekeepingDepartment. • Responsiblefor assisting in cleaning rooms, public areas, inspections and performinglaundry functions as work loads may require. • Responsiblefor assisting in training all housekeeping Team Members as Room Attendants,House Persons, Room Inspectors, Laundry Attendants, and HousekeepingSupervisors. • Responsibleto Inspect rooms. • Responsibleto clean rooms when needed. • Responsiblefor performing "other duties" as assigned by management. GROOMING/UNIFORMS

• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
  • Ability to obtain any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company Regulations. TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: • Musthave basic knowledge of sanitation requirements/controls and applications ofrelevant chemicals. • Musthave knowledge of Corporate policies applicable to housekeeping, especiallythose relating to safety and security of guest and hotel property. • Musthave basic mathematical skills to prepare moderately complex calculations forfinancial reporting. • Musthave exceptional supervisory skills to manage entire housekeeping operation. • Musthave the ability to deal effectively with team members, customers, vendors, andcontractors. • Musthave the ability to coordinate and cooperate with other departments regardinghousekeeping service activities. • Musthave the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to inspectrooms on all floors of the hotel. • Musthave the ability to access and accurately input information using a moderatelycomplex computer system for room inventory control. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Mustbe able to occasionally lift and carry boxes, and equipment weighing up to 40pounds. • Mustbe able to read and write basic English in order to complete necessarypaperwork. • Mustbe able to stand and exert well paced mobility for periods of up to four hoursin length. • Requiressitting, bending, stooping, climbing, keeling, reaching, and visual acuity. • Mustbe able to physically accomplish all housekeeping functions enabling one to"pitch-in" as needed. • Musthave prior experience as a Room Attendant.     • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.

    • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including 10 key adding machines, personal computers, fax machines, and photo copiers.
