245725 We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer – AI, Cloud Native
Data Engineering to join a high-performing team focused on building
a modern AI-enabled data platform. This role involves developing
next-generation data solutions in a fast-paced environment,
supporting large-scale data analysis, and contributing to a hybrid
cloud data ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Implement and
operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud
to ingest, transform, and distribute data for big data applications
Leverage AI/agentic frameworks to automate data management,
governance, and data consumption (data pipelines, data quality,
metadata, compliance) Collaborate within a matrix organization with
principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers to
roadmap, plan, and deliver data capabilities Contribute to
migration from on-premises systems to cloud environments Lead
design and hands-on implementation of modern data processing
capabilities Required Qualifications Experience working in a large
data environment Demonstrated recent experience with AI tools and
frameworks such as: LangChain LangGraph / ADK Agentic frameworks
RAG / GraphRAG MCP for agent-based data capabilities 5 years of
data engineering experience with hands-on cloud data solutions
(Spark-based ingestion and processing) 3 years of experience with
data lakehouse architecture and design Hands-on experience with:
Python / PySpark Kafka Airflow Google Cloud Storage BigQuery
DataProc Cloud Composer Experience developing data flows using
Kafka, Flink, and Spark Streaming Desired Qualifications Experience
using AI to auto-generate data engineering code, including context
engineering and prompt engineering Strong background in cloud-based
data lakes, warehouses, and automated data pipelines Public cloud
certifications (GCP Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data
Engineer, or AWS Specialty Data Analytics) Experience with
web-based UI development using React and Node.js
