-This position is responsible for overseeing landscape and mow
crews and ensuring quality work is being performed daily in a safe,
effective, and efficient manner.
-Creates and manages daily routes and schedule for multiple
-Works closely with Crew Leaders and other team members to ensure
that their work is completed safely, properly, and efficiently.
-Works closely with Grounds Manager to identify problem areas on
campus and provide ideas for solutions/improvements.
-Estimates, plans, and orders materials, plants, and supplies
needed for landscape tasks and projects.
-Ensures that litter and debris on campus is promptly removed.
-Provides ongoing informal and formal training to ensure a safe
working environment and proper use of vehicles, equipment, and

approving timesheets and leave requests, requesting purchase
orders, completing performance reviews, and communicating with
university personnel as needed.
-Supports Landscape, Irrigation, and Recycling Teams as needed.

High school diploma/ GED equivalent and six years of experience
in related landscaping field; or any equivalent combination of
education, training, and experience.

The Facilities Maintenance Department supports the academic,
research, housing, and dining facility needs for the University of
North Texas while providing responsible stewardship and efficient
operation of the Universitys physical assets. The Facilities
