We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager. This position will
manage payroll staff, ensuring timely and accurate payroll
processing for multi state, weekly and bi-weekly, exempt and
non-exempt employees. Supervise the garnishment process to ensure
we are in complete compliance with all federal and state laws.
Ensure complete compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards and
Manage staff, to ensure complete and accurate payroll
processing. Train and develop staff including coaching and
counseling. Interviews, hires and trains new employees; may
determine staffing requirements.
Monitors the payroll interfaces and accurately reports payroll
costs on the general ledger. Assist in verifying employment,
income, and requests related to garnishment.
Testing of technical processes to help improve the payroll process,
as well as; ensure all functions are working properly and
accurately. Develops, recommends, and implements systems and
procedural changes for the Payroll Department.
Provides information, possible solutions and research to employees.
Maintains knowledge of payroll principles and procedures and
implements changes as needed.
Prepares and reviews complex work state analysis and calculates
work state changes as needed. Reviews gross to net and net-to-net
pay comparison reports to validate payroll each pay cycle for
assigned business units.
Assist Sr. Director.
High School degree; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
Solid understanding of state payroll tax laws and regulations and
is able to relay that knowledge to the payroll staff.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or other payroll certification
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
4-5 years of payroll and related experience.
Lawson and Kronos experience preferred.
Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred.
General ledgers experience a plus.
