This position serves as the main point of contact for vendor / brand partners across Sally Beauty and BSG as it relates to co-op marketing activity. The Manager Brand Partnerships will facilitate contracts and oversee marketing plans to drive tangible incremental revenue growth for the business. He/she/they will live at the forefront of using data to answer partners' business questions and develop relevant plans to drive growth based on partner priorities and launches. Close collaboration with merchandising and channel partners is critical to ensure that the proposed plans align with the merchandising and marketing priorities strategies set in place by Sally Beauty and BSG. Analytical rigor, understanding, optimization and actioning on meaningful marketing metrics for brand partners is critical to the position.

Build and lead brand partner relationships across Sally Beauty and BSG.

Lead the relationships across a portfolio of brand partners, acting as the creator of annual marketing plans based on brand priorities and launches. Serve as the main liaison between each brand partner and the internal Sally Beauty / BSG functions of merchandising, marketing (social, digital / paid, in-store, CRM and e-commerce).

  • Onboard new brand partners and guide them through the initial set-up - gain relevant input to develop a co-op agreement; gather brand assets and the uploading process; review of co-op agreement in collaboration with brand partners and the Sally Beauty/ BSG merchandising team; development and sharing of meaningful marketing metrics to be tracked through the cycle of the marketing plan.

Create data-driven annual co-op marketing plans to help brand partners achieve their goals. Develop and sell-in marketing plans internally and with brand partners.

  • Ensure / co-op plan pricing / costs meet expectations of brand partners and internal teams.
  • Integrate marketing plans into internal processes to ensure plans are seamlessly integrated into the Sally Beauty / BSG marketing calendar.
  • Serve as an approver of the co-op agreement and work closely with finance team to ensure proper allocation of co-op dollars.
  • Prepare and lead quarterly brand partner meetings.

Project Management / Brand Partner program growth

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to insure successful roll out of brand partner marketing plans in cadence with the marketing calendar and brand priorities.
  • Results-Driven: Identify, develop and implement new ways / ideas for growing brand partner plans to drive revenue, maintain / gain exclusivity
  • Budget management of $2MM - $4MM

Manage, Develop and grow a Brand Partner Coordinator


  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years managing a brand partner relationship / brand co-op programs in a retail environment
  • Experience building annual marketing plans / programs and strong understanding of marketing and principles of growth
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and able to multi-task - can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
  • Ability to draw meaningful and actionable conclusions from data
  • Ability to develop an informed point of view and influence others within the organization
