Family Compass Development Coordinator VISTAFamily Compass with offices in both Dallas and Plano, Texas, is the only agency in Dallas and Collin Counties with the sole mission to build healthy families and a strong North Texas community by preventing child abuse and neglect. In 2022, Family Compass assisted 2,000 families with their parenting skills, 99% of the children served did not get referred into the Child Protective Services system. All of Family Compass' programs help families from communities in our regional service area; most household incomes are at or below 100% of the poverty threshold. The cycle of poverty will be broken by providing those families in our care for two to five years with ongoing access to basic needs assistance through our THHS-Community Client Program for food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and other ancillary services. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.Member Duties : The VISTA Development Coordinator will build volunteer capacity by (1) recruiting and training volunteers, (2) managing volunteer tasks, and (3) recognizing volunteer service through appreciation activities. This role will also assist in (1) crafting an annual outreach plan with the ingredients to broaden our community awareness and support, and (2) maintain an engaging outreach segment for the community-at-large, including social media, printed materials and in-person components.
