Shift/Status: Full-time / Days / 4/10's / 6:30am - 5pmCall Requirement: Must be able to take STEMI Call (24 calls: past 12mos) One (1) Weekend every (4) Weeks / 4 days a week call With a four (4) day weekend off every 4 weeks.Required Experience: Preferred Cath / EP Lab skilled, must have 2 two years of recent, full time RN Cardiovascular ICU, CVICU or high acuity ER. Patient Ratio: Team is comprised of RN's and Rad Techs working in teams to manage procedural patient care cases, collaborating with the proceduralist and anesthesia providers. JOB SUMMARYThe Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to health care personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, each patient's condition and the competencies of the employeePatient Ratio: Team is comprised of RN's and Rad Techs working in teams to manage procedural patient care cases, collaborating with the proceduralist and anesthesia providers.
