Position: RN Cardiovascular ICU

Location: - The Baylor Heart Hospital Denton - 2801 S Mayhill Rd, Denton TX 76208 -

Patient Population:---All things CV from STEMI to LVAD implantation, Cardiogenic shock, AAA, -CABG, Valve, TAVR, Devices include TPW, IABO, Impella, TTM, lumbar drain and CRRT. -

Hours: -FT Staff / Night Shift / 3/12's per week / 7am-7pm

CUB Unit: -1st Floor, 22 beds, 24-hour unit

Required Experience: Candidates MUST have minimum (1) one year (prefer 2+ years) of recent, full time bedside Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU or Cardiovascular PCU.

Patient Ratios: -Tele 4:1/PCU 3:1/ICU 2:1/CVICU 1:1

    Job Summary
    As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. -

    • You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
      
    • Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
      
    • Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
      
    • You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
      
    • Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
      
    • You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
      
    • Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.

        Qualifications
        
        • 
          
        • Grad of an Accredited Registered Nurse Program
          
        • Candidates must have (1) one year (prefer 2) of recent, full time bedside Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU -
          
        • A current and valid nursing license.
          
        • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
