SBH is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to lead our Planning & Allocation team while remaining dedicated to our mission and cultural values. -This position reports to the GVP of Merchandising Services and has significant interaction with leaders across the organization. - Develops, oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of an organization's inventory planning and allocation policies, objectives, and initiatives. Responsibilities- Create a best in class demand forecasting function; setting out appropriate processes and procedures through JDA to maximize profitability. Able to flex between both business segments adapting where necessary. - - Develop, manage and coordinate SBH's strategic merchandise planning processes and inventory levels from vendors through the distribution channel to stores to drive sales and profitability targets. - Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships across Stores, Distribution, Logistics and Merchants. Liaises with vendor community. - Stand up a JDA Demand Forecasting Accuracy office, including development of required processes, KPIs, and team development to achieve best-in-class forecast accuracy. - Oversee the strategic line review process for all categories to facilitate execution of its assortment plans, financial plans, store space instructions and store allocation parameters. - Lead the merchant organization to research its consumer base in new and existing markets and incorporate insights into the assortment process. - Ensure effective fulfillment and reduction of out-of-stocks through standardization of replenishment and allocation methods and best practices. - Improve and empower merchant decision-making and inventory performance through merchant, planning and allocation reporting on key metrics such as sales, turns, in-stock, aging and network balance. - Act as key liaison with other merchant groups including merchandise financial planning, space planning, store operations and demand planning to ensure an alignment of goals and resources.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - 8 - 12 years of experience managing strategic merchandise planning partnerships and process in a supply chain, planning, forecasting or replenishment role - 10+ years of experience managing a team of high performing team members - B2B and B2C experience required - JDA (Blue Yonder) experience preferred - Thorough understanding of retail strategy, including consumer decision trees, assortment planning, financial planning, space planning, demand planning and price elasticity - Develops and manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function - Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. - Driver of change and gains followership to improve performance of a department or departments. - Strong passion for technology and solving customer problems - Proven leadership ability to articulate vision and drive adaptability and changes across departments - Change leadership - Strong focus on development of talent - Highly collaborative - We offer a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life Insurance, paid vacation and sick days, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and 401(k) with company match.
