SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

Hours: Wednesday - Sunday 10P 6AM(Flexible Hours)

The Lead Quality Assurance Technician will facilitate and assist in the Quality Assurance, document control, safety functions at the plant and daily quality SAP (centralized enterprise management system, with a strong desire for personal advancement and the willingness to achieve by learning our manufacturingsystems and reporting as scheduled with an upbeat team player mindset. They will also work with production personnel to create and maintain continuous improvement in products and services to our customers. A top-class Lead Quality Technician can efficiently monitor the quality of products without impeding production rates, as well as being team oriented, goal driven, and motivated.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • REQUIRED to work overtime or another shift as needed
  • Support Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager in scheduling and management of all equipment calibrations
  • Manage the schedule of Quality Assurance Technicians when needed
  • Conduct training for new Quality Assurance Technicians on night shift
    • Inspect product during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale
    • Compare product with customer specifications
    • Inspect and tag finished product
    • Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required
    • TL900(ISO)Plant setup and preparation through internalaudits
    • Test incoming raw material and maintain records
      • Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
      • Issue Product Certifications
      • Document information on work orders
      • Inspect and tag reels for calibration in QT-9
      • Maintain neat and orderly work area
      • Follow all safety requirements
      • Perform all other duties as assigned or requiredEDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
        • 2-3+ years' experience working in Quality Control, quality assurance, or inspection in a manufacturing environment
        • 1+ years of management/supervision/lead experience
        • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and file management, Data Entry for reporting
        • SAP or ERP inventory systems (desirable)
        • Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing required
          • Data management and data integrity
          • Attention to detail
          • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or a small group
          • Experience in quality / inspection procedures preferred

            OCCUPATIONAL AND / OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
            • Ability to learn/use laboratory and inspection equipment
            • Able to step over and / or bend under objects
              • Able to lift up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
              • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nights
              • Plastics Manufacturing a plus
              • Must be able to stand on your feet for the entirety of your shiftWORKING CONDITIONS:
